YELS participated in Burton's CHILL Snowboarding program this year- with 6 youth and two chaperones. In addition to learning how-to-ride, we learnt
some of the most important lessons in life about patience, persistence, responsibility, courage, respect, and pride – our weekly themes within the program.
By the end of the program, each youth had graduated on to riding the chair lift and make incredible memories that will last a lifetime.
One youth from our group was Seattle (from the Seattle youth pool) to attend the national US Open Snowboarding championship.
